Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is set to headline the MTN MoMo Fest in Ho on October 3, as MTN Ghana partners with the Shatta Movement team to bring the popular entertainment experience to the Volta Region.
The upcoming event follows the success of the first collaboration between MTN MoMo Fest and Shatta Fest, which was held at the Black Star Square, formerly known as Independence Square, in Accra.
The Accra event attracted thousands of music fans and featured performances that kept the venue buzzing throughout the night.
Following the massive turnout in the capital, MTN and the Shatta Movement team are taking the experience to Ho for another major night of entertainment.
The Ho edition will combine the energy of Shatta Wale’s annual Shatta Fest with the customer-focused activities associated with MTN MoMo Fest.
Powered by MTN Mobile Money, the event is expected to offer fans an evening of music, entertainment and activities as the telecommunications company celebrates its MoMo customers in Ho and surrounding communities.
Shatta Wale is expected to lead the musical performances, bringing some of his popular songs to the stage for fans in the Volta Region.
The dancehall artiste has built a strong following across Ghana and beyond, with a catalogue that includes popular songs such as “My Level” and “Ayoo.”
Fans can also expect performances from his more recent releases, including “Street Crown,” as the artiste connects with his supporters in Ho.
The partnership between MTN MoMo Fest and Shatta Fest also forms part of the growing relationship between music entertainment and brand activations in Ghana.
