Thomas Tuchel has officially unveiled the 26 players selected to represent England national football team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The squad announcement, led by captain Harry Kane, was revealed through a live broadcast from Wembley Stadium via the official England app.

The announcement was accompanied by a specially produced film soundtracked by The Beatles’ iconic song “Come Together.”

Filmed in New York and directed by Keane Shaw and Pete Martin, the creative video introduced each selected player across different locations in the city while paying tribute to The Beatles’ cultural influence in the United States during the 1960s and beyond.

England’s squad will begin preparations from Monday, June 1, at a training camp in Palm Beach, Florida, before travelling to Kansas City, which will serve as the team’s permanent tournament base.

Speaking after announcing the squad, Tuchel described the selection process as difficult but expressed confidence in the players chosen.

“It is truly exciting and a great privilege to be able to name an England squad for the World Cup,” Tuchel stated.

“It has been a tough process to decide on the nomination, but I have full belief in this group of players. They all deserve their place.”

The manager also said the team is determined to make the country proud during the tournament.

Captain Harry Kane will now appear at his third FIFA World Cup, equalling the England record previously set by legendary captain Billy Wright.

Experienced stars Jordan Pickford, John Stones and Marcus Rashford will also feature at their third World Cup tournaments.

Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson will make a record-equalling fourth World Cup appearance for England, matching the achievement of Sir Bobby Charlton.

Young stars including Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are all heading to their second World Cup tournaments.

Several players will also experience their first senior international tournament, including James Trafford, Tino Livramento, Nico O’Reilly, Djed Spence, Dan Burn, Jarell Quansah, Elliot Anderson, Noni Madueke and Morgan Rogers.

England are scheduled to play warm-up matches against New Zealand and Costa Rica before opening their World Cup campaign against Croatia national football team in Dallas on June 17.

The Three Lions will then face Ghana national football team in Boston on June 23 before concluding their group stage fixtures against Panama in New York/New Jersey on June 27.

The announcement has already generated excitement among England supporters, with many hopeful that Tuchel can guide the Three Lions to major international success at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
