MzGee has revealed that she does not miss hosting United Showbiz, the entertainment programme she previously anchored on UTV Ghana.
Speaking during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on Wednesday, May 20, MzGee explained that she feels satisfied with the contribution she made during her time on the programme and currently has no desire to return.

“The truth of the matter is that I get a lot of feedback that makes me satisfied… feedback that makes me feel like, ‘Okay, I tried my best while I was there and that’s okay,’” she said.
According to the media personality, she strongly believes in leaving a platform at a point where one’s efforts are appreciated and recognised.
“I am just glad that the applause was loud when I was exiting, so I don’t miss anything showbiz, sincerely,” she added.
MzGee explained that the reactions she received during her time on the programme, including both praise and controversies surrounding her role and eventual departure, gave her a sense of fulfilment because they reflected the impact she made in the entertainment industry.
The broadcaster further stated that she believes she has gained enough experience within Ghana’s entertainment and media space and is now focused on exploring new opportunities beyond entertainment hosting.
According to her, she has already interviewed several high-profile personalities, built a strong reputation and achieved significant recognition within the media industry.
When asked whether she would consider returning to entertainment hosting in the future, MzGee referred to feedback she received about her interviewing style, saying some people considered her approach too strict.
“I think with the feedback I got, people said I was too tough on them, and if you don’t want accountability, I don’t play with you. Because it’s part of showbiz. Showbiz is not only about the fun side… there’s the business side too,” she explained.
She also expressed concern about what she described as hypocrisy within the entertainment industry, revealing that she has become tired of certain aspects of the space.
“And I have realised one thing too… the hypocrisy in this space is too much, so I’m tired… there is nothing here any more,” she stated.
MzGee’s comments have since sparked conversations online, with many fans praising her professionalism and straightforward interviewing style during her time on United Showbiz.

Others also commended her for holding celebrities accountable and bringing balance to entertainment discussions instead of focusing only on gossip and controversy.
Over the years, MzGee established herself as one of Ghana’s most recognised entertainment journalists and television personalities through her work across radio and television.
Her departure from United Showbiz generated significant reactions at the time, with many viewers debating her impact and contribution to the programme.
The latest interview once again highlights ongoing conversations about the pressures, expectations and challenges faced by personalities working within Ghana’s entertainment media industry.
