Jelvis Foundation Partners Effiakuma Youth Association to Promote Sanitation in Effia

Founder of the Jelvis Foundation, Jelvis Kwame Baidoo, has partnered with the Effiakuma Youth Association to promote sanitation and environmental cleanliness within the Effia Constituency.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to encourage community participation in keeping neighborhoods clean while empowering young people to take leadership roles in sanitation activities.

According to Mr. Baidoo, the foundation has already donated several cleaning tools including wheelbarrows, shovels, and other essential equipment to support the youth group in organizing regular clean-up exercises.

The donated tools are expected to help tackle sanitation challenges in the area, particularly the clearing of gutters and public spaces that often become clogged with waste.

Mr. Baidoo explained that the project is designed to support youth-led initiatives that focus on practical solutions to community problems.

By working with the Effiakuma Youth Association, the Jelvis Foundation hopes to mobilize young people in the constituency to actively participate in maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

As part of the effort, the team plans to visit areas within Effia to assess specific gutters and sanitation concerns in order to determine how the donated tools can be effectively used during clean-up exercises.

The Jelvis Foundation is also calling on residents within Effia and surrounding communities to support the youth whenever clean-up activities are organized.

According to Mr. Baidoo, sanitation should be a collective responsibility shared by both residents and community leaders.

“Keeping our communities clean requires the effort of everyone. When the youth organize clean-up exercises, residents should come out to support them so that together we can maintain a healthy environment,” he emphasized.

Sanitation remains a critical issue in many communities across Ghana, with clogged gutters often contributing to flooding and health risks during the rainy season.

Through this partnership with the Effiakuma Youth Association, the Jelvis Foundation hopes to inspire more community-driven sanitation initiatives that will improve living conditions in the Effia Constituency.

Mr. Baidoo believes that empowering the youth with the right tools and support can help drive long-term change.

He added that when communities work together, they can create cleaner and healthier environments for everyone.

“Together, we can keep Effia clean and moving forward,” he said.
