Shatta Wale has once again made Ghana proud on the international stage after winning two major awards at the 43rd International Reggae & World Music Awards held in Florida, USA.
The award-winning dancehall artiste emerged victorious in the categories “Best African Dancehall Entertainer” and “Concert of the Year” for his hugely celebrated “Shatta Fest” concert.

The prestigious event took place on Sunday, May 17, at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Centre and attracted some of the biggest names in reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, Soca and world music from across the globe.
Known as “Culture’s Biggest Night,” the International Reggae & World Music Awards is recognised as one of the most respected award schemes honouring excellence in reggae and world music. The annual event celebrates artistes, producers, entertainers and industry stakeholders from Africa, the Caribbean and the global diaspora.
Shatta Wale’s latest success further strengthens his legacy as one of Africa’s most influential dancehall musicians. With these two new wins, the Ghanaian superstar now extends his record as the most awarded Ghanaian artiste in IRAWMA history, bringing his total wins at the event to 11.
