Ghanaian singer-songwriter Gyakie has reacted gracefully following the conclusion of the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards despite missing out on all three of her nominations on the night.
The “Forever” hitmaker took to social media platform X shortly after the awards ceremony to congratulate the winners while also expressing appreciation to fans and supporters who continue to stand by her music journey.

Although she did not secure a win during the highly anticipated event held on May 9 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, Gyakie made it clear that the outcome would not discourage her from pursuing greater success in her career.
In her message, the singer reflected on the importance of being recognised at Ghana’s biggest music awards scheme and acknowledged the hard work that has gone into her growth over the years.
“Being nominated at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards was a special moment for me. We have worked so hard over the years and we are not stopping,” she shared.
She also used the opportunity to congratulate all the artistes who emerged victorious at the ceremony while thanking fans for continuously supporting her music and brand.
“Also, a huge congratulations to all the winners & I’m very thankful to everyone who has been a part of my growth and is steadily rooting for me. I love you & keep enjoying my album, ‘After Midnight,’” she added.
Gyakie was among the notable female artistes nominated at this year’s awards, further cementing her place as one of the leading voices in Ghana’s contemporary music scene. Even though she did not take home an award, many fans online praised her maturity and positive attitude following the results.
Social media users also applauded her for focusing on growth and consistency instead of dwelling on disappointment. Several fans described her response as classy and inspiring, noting that her journey in the music industry remains impressive.
The singer has continued to build a strong reputation both locally and internationally with her unique blend of Afro-fusion, R&B and highlife influences. Since breaking into the mainstream with her smash hit “Forever,” Gyakie has steadily expanded her fanbase across Africa and beyond.
Her debut album, “After Midnight,” has also received positive reviews from music lovers, with many praising the project’s emotional storytelling, smooth vocals and creative direction.

Over the past few years, Gyakie has become one of Ghana’s most recognisable female music exports, performing on international stages and collaborating with several artistes across the continent.
Despite missing out at the 2026 TGMAs, the singer’s response suggests she remains focused on the bigger picture and determined to continue elevating her craft.
As conversations surrounding this year’s awards continue online, Gyakie’s calm and appreciative reaction has earned admiration from fans who believe her time for more major award victories will come soon.
