Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has praised the resilience of dancehall star Shatta Wale, highlighting the determination it took for the artiste to rebuild his career after stepping away from the spotlight for several years.
Speaking during his radio show on Apple Music on March 6, Sarkodie commended Shatta Wale for successfully reviving his career and reclaiming his place in the Ghanaian music industry after nearly a decade away from the scene.

According to the award-winning rapper, Shatta Wale’s journey serves as a powerful example of perseverance and dedication in the entertainment industry.
Sarkodie explained that holding on to a dream for ten years before making a successful comeback is a remarkable achievement that many people can learn from.
“For someone to hold on for ten years, that should tell you something,” Sarkodie said during the show. “There is a lesson in there that it is never over until it is over.”
He emphasised that Shatta Wale’s story demonstrates the importance of persistence and determination, especially for young people pursuing their dreams in music and other creative fields.
The rapper added that life often presents challenges and setbacks, but success is still possible for those who remain focused and committed to their goals.
“You’ve taught us to learn from everything that happens in life. No matter how long it takes, we shouldn’t give up,” Sarkodie stated.

Sarkodie also revealed that one of his favourite songs from the dancehall star is the hit track Kakai.
