Mr. Eazi Calls on Ghana Tourism Authority to Back $2m Entertainment Project

Nigerian singer, entrepreneur, and Detty Rave founder Mr. Eazi has made a bold call for investment collaboration in Ghana’s entertainment sector, urging the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to support his vision for a purpose-built entertainment venue in the country.

Speaking on stage during the Detty Rave concert, Mr. Eazi revealed plans to acquire land in Ghana for the development of a world-class entertainment facility featuring both outdoor and indoor event spaces. According to the Afrobeats star, the project is aimed at addressing long-standing infrastructure gaps within Ghana’s live entertainment ecosystem.

Mr. Eazi disclosed that he is prepared to commit an initial investment of up to $2 million to kick-start the project, stressing that with the right institutional support, the venue could become a major cultural and tourism landmark.

“This is about creating a proper home for entertainment in Ghana,” he said, drawing loud applause from the audience. “We need spaces that can host concerts, festivals, and cultural events at an international standard.”

The proposed entertainment complex is expected to serve as a hub for music concerts, festivals, exhibitions, and cultural showcases, while also contributing to job creation, tourism growth, and private-sector investment. Industry observers believe such infrastructure could significantly strengthen Ghana’s position as a preferred destination for large-scale global events.

Mr. Eazi’s announcement comes at a time when Ghana continues to market itself as an international entertainment hotspot through flagship initiatives such as December in GH, which has attracted thousands of tourists and global celebrities in recent years. However, the rapid growth of events has also highlighted the need for modern, purpose-built venues capable of hosting large crowds safely and efficiently.

The Detty Rave founder emphasised that his proposal is not just a personal business venture but a collaborative effort aimed at long-term industry development.

He expressed readiness to partner with the Ghana Tourism Authority and other relevant institutions to ensure the project aligns with national tourism and creative arts objectives.

Mr. Eazi has strong ties to Ghana, having built significant business interests in the country and successfully hosted multiple editions of Detty Rave, one of West Africa’s biggest annual music events. His public appeal to the GTA has since sparked conversations across the creative industry about the role of private investment in shaping Ghana’s entertainment future.

As discussions continue, many stakeholders view the proposal as a timely opportunity to transform Ghana’s live entertainment landscape and solidify its reputation as Africa’s leading cultural destination.
