The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Candidates can check their individual results online using a mobile phone or computer. However, candidates will need a WAEC result checker PIN before they can access their results.
The result checker PIN can be purchased through the shortcode service by dialling *713*5388# or through the authorised online platform provided for purchasing checker codes.
How to check 2026 BECE results on your phone
Candidates can follow these steps to check their results:
1. Visit the WAEC results portal
Open the official WAEC results checking website: WAEC BECE Results Portal
2. Enter your Index Number
Type your BECE index number into the appropriate field.
3. Confirm your Index Number
Re-enter the index number to confirm that it has been entered correctly.
4. Select the Examination Type
Choose the examination type, such as BECE School or BECE Private, depending on the examination you wrote.
5. Select the Examination Year
Choose 2026 as the examination year.
6. Enter your Serial Number
Enter the serial number shown on your result checker details.
7. Enter your PIN
Carefully enter the WAEC result checker PIN you purchased.
8. Complete the CAPTCHA
Tick the CAPTCHA box to confirm that you are not a robot.
9. Submit your details
Click on the Submit button and wait for your results to load.
Your 2026 BECE results should then be displayed on the screen.
How to print your 2026 BECE results
Candidates who want a physical copy of their results can visit a nearby internet café, printing shop or business centre.
You can download or save your results on your phone and send the file to the attendant through WhatsApp, Bluetooth, AirDrop or another file-sharing method.
The attendant can then print a hard copy for your records and for use during the school placement process.
Beware of BECE results scammers
WAEC has cautioned candidates and the general public to be careful of fraudsters who claim they can upgrade examination results for a fee.
Candidates are advised to rely only on the official WAEC results-checking platform when accessing their grades.
Do not give your examination details or payment to individuals who claim they can alter or improve your BECE results.
