The Black Stars held tournament favourites England to a hard-fought goalless draw in their second Group L match in Boston, producing a disciplined defensive performance that earned the team a valuable point and widespread admiration from fans and celebrities alike.

The praise extended beyond Ghana’s borders, as several Nigerian celebrities also joined in applauding the team’s resilience against one of the competition’s strongest sides.
One player who attracted overwhelming praise was goalkeeper Benjamin Asare. The shot-stopper, known to be a proud supporter of the Shatta Movement, delivered a man-of-the-match performance, making a series of crucial saves to preserve Ghana’s clean sheet and secure the draw.
