Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has dismissed claims that he is rude, explaining that what some perceive as attitude is in fact his passion and drive for music.
In an interview on Prime Time on Joy Prime, Medikal addressed the misunderstandings surrounding his persona, emphasizing that his commitment to his craft is what propels him forward.
“People say I’m rude but I’m not. I’m passionate and driven with my career. It’s the passion that drives me to new levels in life,” he said.
Medikal revealed that his hunger for progress keeps him constantly motivated.
“I might have the hottest song today and still wake up to go to the studio the next day. I’m hungry for what I do. That’s what gears and energizes me to keep pushing forward,” he explained.
He stressed that repetition and consistency have played key roles in his journey. Coupled with his natural talent, these qualities have enabled him to rise steadily in the Ghanaian music industry.
“My journey has been built on talent. It’s my talent that has taken me far. Talent is the prime source of my success,” Medikal said.

“I rap to entertain and help people get over their problems and depressions,” he noted.
