Fans of Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie were left puzzled in recent days when two of his most successful albums, Jamz (2022) and No Pressure (2021), mysteriously disappeared from major digital streaming platforms (DSPs) such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Audiomack.
The sudden removal triggered speculation across social media, with some fans suggesting that the multiple award-winning rapper may have sold off his catalogue. Others worried it might be tied to disputes with distribution partners.

However, Sarkodie has now set the record straight. Speaking during an Instagram Live session on September 1, 2025, the rapper explained that the albums were taken down due to a technical hitch that occurred during a distribution transition.
“So what is happening is we are doing a re-upload with a new distribution channel,” Sarkodie told his fans. “We have a new partnership that we have to… but it was supposed to be very smooth, but that couldn’t happen. So now we took it down, and we have to re-upload. I think it was actually supposed to go back today, but let’s see—if not, maybe midnight or… I’m really pushing the team to get it back on. So don’t worry guys.”

He further reassured his audience that the disappearance was not permanent, stressing that both albums would soon return to DSPs once the new distribution arrangement is finalized.
The clarification brings relief to Sarkodie’s loyal fan base, many of whom had expressed concern over not being able to stream hits like “Countryside,” “Labadi,” and “Rollies and Cigars.”
The temporary setback highlights a common challenge faced by artists navigating music distribution partnerships, especially in an era where access to digital platforms is central to maintaining fan engagement and streaming revenue.

Sarkodie’s quick response also reflects his commitment to keeping fans informed, as he directly addressed the rumours and confusion surrounding the issue.
With the re-upload process underway, fans can expect Jamz and No Pressure to return to streaming platforms in the coming days, allowing listeners to once again enjoy the rapper’s chart-topping records without interruption.
