Ghana’s Black Stars missed the chance to extend their lead in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers after being held to a 1-1 draw by Chad.
Otto Addo’s side went into the fixture on the back of four straight wins in the qualifying series and were heavily tipped to secure a fifth consecutive victory. However, a late equaliser by Chad denied them maximum points.

With just minutes left on the clock, Chad capitalised on Ghana’s defensive lapses to level the scoreline. The equaliser stunned the Black Stars, who were unable to regroup before the final whistle.
