Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has been named the February EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month, marking a major milestone in his early career with Manchester City following his January move from AFC Bournemouth.
The Ghana international earned the award after an impressive run of performances during his first full month at the club, scoring three goals and providing one assist in five Premier League matches throughout February. His standout displays included goals against Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Leeds United.

The recognition marks the first time Semenyo has won the Premier League Player of the Month award, further highlighting the immediate impact he has made since joining the reigning English champions.
Speaking to the club’s official website after receiving the award, the 25-year-old expressed his excitement and gratitude for the honour.
“This is a brilliant moment for me. To win the Premier League Player of the Month award so soon after joining City is something I’ll never forget,” Semenyo said.
He added that his main priority now is to continue improving and contribute to the team’s ambitions for the remainder of the season.
“My focus now is on continuing to improve and helping City to achieve the best possible results. We have so much to play for and I am really excited about this final period of the season,” he stated.
Since arriving at Manchester City in January, Semenyo has quickly adapted to the club’s system and style of play, earning praise from fans and analysts alike. His versatility has been a key factor in his early success, as he has impressed in several attacking roles.
The Ghanaian forward has been deployed on both wings, as a central forward and even in deeper attacking positions in midfield. His pace, strength and direct attacking approach have added a new dimension to City’s attacking options during the second half of the season.
Semenyo’s achievement is also significant in the context of Manchester City’s recent history in the award category. He becomes the first City player other than Erling Haaland to win the award since Raheem Sterling claimed it in December 2021.
Haaland has dominated the award in recent seasons, winning it four times, including the most recent one earlier in September of the current campaign.

For Ghanaian football, Semenyo’s triumph places him among a small group of players from the country to have won the prestigious monthly honour in the Premier League.
He becomes only the third Ghanaian player to receive the award, following legendary striker Tony Yeboah, who won it twice with Leeds United in March and September 1995, and Andre Ayew, who claimed the award in August 2015 while playing for Swansea City.
The achievement has been widely celebrated by Ghanaian football fans, who see Semenyo’s success as another example of the growing influence of Ghanaian players in top European leagues.
With Manchester City still competing for major honours this season, supporters will be hoping Semenyo can maintain his impressive form and continue contributing goals and assists as the campaign enters its decisive stage.
