Antoine Semenyo Targets 15 Premier League Goals After Blistering Start

Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is aiming high this Premier League season, revealing his ambition to hit 15 goals after a spectacular start to the campaign with AFC Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old striker, who netted 11 goals last season and eight the season before, has already registered six goals and three assists in just 10 appearances this term. His form has not only propelled Bournemouth into the Premier League’s top four but also positioned him among the division’s most lethal attackers — trailing only Erling Haaland, who currently leads the scoring charts with 13 goals.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Semenyo shared how he sets clear personal targets before every season.

“Every year, I write my goals — what I want to do. I always want to do better than what I’ve done in previous seasons,” he said. “I set a challenge for myself this year, and I really want to push myself. Fifteen goals would be great.”

The Ghanaian international credited Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and his teammates for their support and tactical system, which has brought out the best in him.

“I think I’m a good finisher. I can help the team in many ways, and credit to the manager and all the players — they’ve been so helpful,” he added.

Semenyo’s electric performances have also earned him a nomination for the Premier League Goal of the Month (October) after a sensational solo strike in Bournemouth’s 3-1 comeback victory over Fulham. In that game, he showcased his flair and composure, weaving past two defenders before slotting the ball through Bernd Leno’s legs to seal the win.

He faces stiff competition for the award from Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea), Justin Kluivert (Bournemouth), and Emiliano Buendía (Aston Villa).

With Bournemouth’s impressive run and Semenyo’s growing influence, Ghanaian fans will be hoping he maintains his fine form — both in the Premier League and for the Black Stars — as he pushes toward his 15-goal target.
