Jelvis Foundation and One King Executive Fancy Club Host Free Health Screening for Effia Residents

On August 2, 2025, the Jelvis Foundation, in collaboration with One King Executive Fancy Club, successfully hosted a Free Health Screening at the Effia Community Centre, providing critical health services to over 300 residents in the Effia community.

The initiative forms part of the Foundation’s wider community outreach campaign themed “Connecting Our Communities – #ƆNNYƐ LATE,” with the aim of enhancing access to basic healthcare for underserved populations.

The event saw a remarkable turnout of people across all age groups. Residents received various health checks including malaria screening, blood pressure monitoring, diabetes testing, and for the first time in this outreach, dental examinations were also offered.

Children were not left out of the initiative. Dedicated medical volunteers ensured they received malaria tests and preventive guidance, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to the health of the next generation.

To ensure comfort throughout the exercise, One King Mineral Water generously supported the event by providing free bags of water to all attendees, demonstrating their continuous partnership with the community.

Medical professionals and volunteers from the Jelvis Foundation worked tirelessly throughout the day, engaging residents not only in tests but also in education about preventive health and lifestyle habits.

Speaking after the event, a representative from the Foundation expressed gratitude to both the Effia community for showing up in large numbers, and the One King Executive Fancy Club for their strong support.

“We believe health is the foundation of prosperity. If we empower communities with access to basic health screening and education, we’re building stronger families and a stronger Ghana,” said the Foundation’s team lead.

The event aligns with the Jelvis Foundation’s mission to empower communities through health, education, and socio-economic development. Future screenings are already being planned in nearby areas as part of the Foundation’s commitment to equitable healthcare delivery.
