Leader of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has called for visionary and transformational leadership to guide Ghana and Africa towards economic freedom and sustainable development.
He made the remarks on Wednesday, September 18, 2025, during a visit to the residence of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and owner of Kantanka Automobile, who passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Cheddar commiserated with the family and signed the book of condolence.

Speaking during the visit, Cheddar underscored the need for leadership that resonates with all sections of society—the youth, the sick, the wealthy, and the everyday citizen.
“We need the sort of leadership that would resonate with young people, with sick people, with rich people, with the people of the country, and we need to set the right example—not just for Ghana but for Africa, because Africans are suffering,” he said.
He stressed that leadership should not be limited to politics but should instead reflect genuine care for people and practical solutions to societal challenges. According to him, true governance must deliver financial, economic, and developmental progress, grounded in life experience rather than academic theory.
Cheddar noted that many Ghanaians are struggling to live decent lives and deserve leaders who understand their daily realities. Reiterating his broader vision, he clarified that his mission extends beyond political ambition.
“I don’t have to run or campaign to add value to this nation. My words alone are strong enough to change you; my message is powerful enough to uplift you; my achievements are proof that we all can do it,” he declared.

Paying tribute to Apostle Safo, Cheddar described him as a revolutionary figure whose innovations and legacy should inspire Ghana’s development agenda. He urged the nation to honour and support such pioneers who contribute significantly to local innovation and national progress.
“One good thing we have been waiting for is for God to give us a chance to rule our own nation, govern our own country, build our own nation, and develop our own country. Such people like Kantanka will be part of the revolution for development,” he added.
Cheddar’s remarks come as tributes continue to pour in for Apostle Safo, celebrated for his groundbreaking inventions, promotion of indigenous innovation, and commitment to self-reliance in Ghana.
