This year’s edition of Sekondi Yesu Asor goes beyond just a festival—it’s a reflection of the vibrant spirit and unity within the Sekondi community. It brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in events that inspire pride in tradition, encourage healthy living, and promote economic opportunities through the market and local business engagement.

The concert featuring Kwaw Kese, a major highlight on Easter Saturday, is expected to draw music lovers from across the Western Region. Known for his electrifying stage presence and hit songs, his performance will light up the night and bring a modern vibe to an otherwise culturally-rooted celebration.

In keeping with the festival’s tradition, the Masquerade Parade and Red Friday vigil offer deeply symbolic experiences rooted in Ghanaian Easter customs. These events provide moments for reflection, joy, and community storytelling that connect generations and preserve cultural identity.

Organizers have also prioritized health and wellness, with the Aerobics and Health Screening on Easter Saturday. Residents are encouraged to participate and make their well-being a part of the Easter celebration. Additionally, the Clean-Up Exercise scheduled for April 12 underlines the importance of community hygiene and environmental care—making the festival not just fun, but socially responsible.

Meanwhile, the Yesu Asor Market, which runs over three days, presents a fantastic opportunity for local vendors and artisans to showcase their products and earn income during the festive season. This aligns with the vision of empowering small businesses and reinforcing community support systems.

As the festival draws thousands from Sekondi and beyond, safety and order are a top priority. With support from the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, local security, health officials, and volunteers will be on hand to ensure all activities run smoothly.

Sekondi Yesu Asor 2025 is more than an event—it is a declaration of cultural pride, spiritual unity, and youthful vibrancy. It invites everyone—residents, returnees, tourists, and stakeholders—to join in a celebration that honors both the sacred and the social aspects of Easter.

Whether you’re joining the early morning processions, dancing in the evening concerts, or relaxing at Essi Beach on Easter Monday, there’s no better place to celebrate Easter this year than in Sekondi.

Don’t miss out. Mark your calendars, wear Ghana, and be part of a festival that continues to grow in energy, impact, and inspiration year after year.
