Ghana’s fashion and events industry has been thrown into mourning following reports that celebrated fashion designer Sadia Sanusi has passed away.
Although the cause of her alleged death remains unknown, news of the incident surfaced on Sunday, June 14, triggering an outpouring of grief across social media, particularly among professionals within the fashion, wedding and events industries.
At the time of publication, Sadia Sanusi’s family had not issued an official statement confirming the reports.

Sadia Sanusi was widely recognised for her exquisite kente creations, bridal wear and luxury couture designs. Her reported passing comes just days before the scheduled Sadia Sanusi Kente Artistry Masterclass, an event planned to mark ten years of her contribution to the fashion industry and celebrate her creativity in kente couture.
