AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has responded to growing speculation linking him with Liverpool and Manchester United, saying his focus remains solely on his current club despite the attention surrounding his future.
The Ghanaian international has been a standout performer since joining Bournemouth from Bristol City, earning praise for his pace, power, and finishing ability. His form last season reportedly attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe.

Rather than seek a move away, Semenyo demonstrated commitment to the Cherries by signing a new long-term contract until 2030, which is believed to include a £75 million release clause — a strong signal of Bournemouth’s intent to keep one of their brightest stars.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 25-year-old admitted that he is aware of the transfer rumours but remains focused on his football:
“I don’t think about it too much. I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well — I’m not oblivious — but I try to keep focused.”
Semenyo added that his main goal is to continue performing at a high level and helping Bournemouth achieve their ambitions.
“I’m enjoying my football here. If I’m not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals, and whatever happens in the future happens.”
Reflecting on the summer transfer window, the forward revealed that several teammates’ departures made him briefly question his future, but manager Andoni Iraola played a pivotal role in convincing him to stay.
“When they all left in the summer, there was a lot of interest and back and forth with the club. But I knew in my head that the manager’s got something up his sleeve this year.”
Semenyo also praised Bournemouth’s progress under Iraola and the impact of new signings, expressing optimism about what the club can achieve this season.
“How we finished off last season was so good, and we could continue, especially with the players we’ve brought in as well.”
He admitted there were initial doubts but said Bournemouth’s strong start to the season has reassured him that staying was the right choice.

“I wasn’t too sure at the start, but we’ve kicked on like a house on fire. I’m glad I committed to staying here because I’m enjoying every moment.”
The decision has proven worthwhile — Semenyo has started the 2025/26 Premier League campaign in superb form, netting six goals and providing three assists in ten appearances, cementing his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic attackers.
As transfer speculation continues to swirl, one thing is clear: Antoine Semenyo is focused, flourishing, and fully committed to Bournemouth’s project on the south coast.
