Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, Chief Executive Officer of GUBA Enterprise, has firmly ruled out any intentions of pursuing a political career, despite her growing influence in Ghana’s creative and business landscape.
Dentaa, who was recently highlighted by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa as a recipient of a diplomatic passport, stressed that she is more focused on her current role and the positive impact it continues to have on Ghanaian communities at home and abroad.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, she said:
“Not now. I feel like I still have a lot of work to do. The work is huge. So I prefer to keep doing what I am doing. Because what I do affects the government anyway. It benefits the government. I want to be where I am. I am happy with where I am.”
Beyond her flagship GUBA Awards and Enterprise initiative, Dentaa has been a driving force in promoting Ghana’s arts, culture, and tourism. Through The Dentaa Show, she has provided Ghanaian creatives with international visibility, while her networking platforms have helped bridge gaps between Ghanaian talent and global business opportunities.
She has also worked closely with industry stakeholders to enhance Ghana’s tourism sector, creating pathways for collaborations between Ghanaian and international acts. Her efforts have made her one of the most influential figures in shaping Ghana’s creative and cultural diplomacy.

In the past, Dentaa served as a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Tourism Authority, where she contributed to policy direction and industry development. Her work continues to complement government efforts while remaining non-political.
Her decision to remain outside politics, she explained, stems from her desire to stay focused on projects that already benefit both Ghanaians and the government indirectly.
With her ongoing initiatives, Dentaa remains committed to driving change from her position as a cultural and business leader rather than through a political appointment.
