TikTok has officially launched TikTok for Artists in Ghana, marking another step in its global expansion after debuting earlier this year.
The new platform is designed to give artists, labels, and their teams access to real-time insights, analytics, and tools to promote music, engage audiences, and build sustainable careers on and off the app.

With its growing role in music discovery and promotion in Africa, TikTok’s new service puts data-driven decision-making directly into the hands of creators. The platform features daily dashboards and performance metrics that empower artists to track how their songs and content are being received by fans.
The platform provides a wide range of insights and support, including:
- Song performance metrics: Track views, posts, and creator engagements per track.
- Post performance analytics: Monitor likes, comments, shares, and completion rates.
- Follower insights: Understand audiences by gender, age, and language.
- Guides to TikTok tools: Step-by-step support for campaign creation and promotion.
- Career resources: Access to tools that strengthen long-term music strategies.
One standout feature is the Pre-Release tool, which allows artists to launch campaigns for upcoming songs or albums. With this, fans can pre-save new releases to their preferred streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music, ensuring stronger promotion before launch day.
Speaking about the launch, Toyin Mustapha, Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa at TikTok, emphasized the impact of this expansion:

“TikTok has always been a key space for music discovery and promotion across Africa. With the launch of TikTok for Artists in Ghana, we’re giving artists and their teams access to insights that can help them engage their fans in more meaningful ways and grow their careers globally. This platform is about putting powerful, transparent data in the hands of creators so they can make smarter decisions and connect with the global TikTok community.”
The platform is open to any creator with a certified TikTok Artist Account, and access can be shared with managers and label teams to streamline campaign planning.
British artist Jordan Adetunji (640k TikTok followers) praised the platform’s benefits, saying:
“TikTok for Artists is a game changer. It has so much information about my music, my followers, and how they’re using my songs in their posts. And it’s brilliant that I can give access to my team who can also use the data to help us plan our campaigns.”

With this rollout, TikTok strengthens its commitment to the African music ecosystem, particularly Ghana’s vibrant creative community. The company aims to empower musicians with the resources they need to grow globally, bridging the gap between local talent and international audiences.
By combining real-time analytics, campaign tools, and fan engagement strategies, TikTok for Artists positions itself as an essential platform for the next generation of African artists.
