Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) completed an unforgettable comeback to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Super Cup, scoring twice in the final six minutes before triumphing 4-3 in a penalty shootout. The win marks PSG’s first-ever Super Cup triumph, while Spurs were left ruing their missed opportunity after leading 2-0.
The Europa League winners, Tottenham, started brightly, with Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus causing problems in the PSG half. Their breakthrough came in the 42nd minute after a free-kick situation led to Micky van de Ven tapping in from close range.

Kudus almost doubled the lead moments later, but his effort hit the post and was ruled offside. Spurs went into the break ahead, with Richarlison also forcing a key save from PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.
Just three minutes into the second half, Tottenham extended their lead through captain Cristian Romero, who headed in Pedro Porro’s free-kick to make it 2-0. Kudus continued to impress but was substituted in the 79th minute after a strong performance.
From there, PSG began their late charge. Substitute Kang-In Lee unleashed a powerful strike from the edge of the box in the 84th minute to halve the deficit. The pressure intensified as PSG dominated possession, but Spurs defended deep, determined to hold on.

Their resistance was finally broken in stoppage time when Ousmane Dembélé whipped in a cross that Goncalo Ramos converted to level the score at 2-2.
With no extra time, the match went straight to penalties. PSG held their nerve, converting four of their five spot-kicks, while Spurs faltered. The final score: 4-3 to PSG on penalties, sparking wild celebrations among the Parisian squad and fans.
The victory is a landmark moment for PSG, who now add the Super Cup to their growing list of European achievements. For Tottenham, the loss will sting — especially with the trophy within their grasp until the dying minutes.
